Thank you for collaboration

Ladies and Gentlemen

I would like to inform you that on 31st March 2017 my work at the CCA Kronika in Bytom is coming to an end. As of April this year, I will head the Trafo Center for Contemporary Art in Szczecin.

Through the last nine years with the Kronika team we have created numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad, a range of publications, a residency programme and extensive educational activity. Kronika became an example of a post-institution, unconstrained by rigid rules and based on a horizontal dialogic model of collaboration between artists, the institution and the audience. I am grateful for your cooperation.

On this occasion, I would like to introduce the new programme director of the CCA Kronika in Bytom – Agata Cukierska – selected by the Kronika team and accepted by the Bytom Cultural Centre – the organiser of Kronika.

Agata Cukierska is an art historian, curator, author of texts on art and editor, journalist. She has worked at the CCA Kronika in Bytom since 2012. Curator of many exhibitions at Kronika, such as Dorota Hadrian’s Renaissance, Daniil Galkin’s Dream Paralysis, Łukasz Skąpski’s Perfumes, Natalia Bażowska’s Luna and Dominik Ritszel’s The Category of Force as well as co-curator of group shows, such as Workers of the Artworld Unite, Plica polonica, All Nightmares to the Basement. I am convinced that with the current team headed by Agata Cukierska Kronika will continue to successfully develop its programme.

I am hoping to collaborate with you further and I heartily recommend Kronika’s activities.

Yours faithfully,
Stanisław Ruksza
