Renovation in progress!

The renovation of the CSW Kronika is being carried out as part of the project “Renovation and Improvement of the Technical Condition of the Bytom Cultural Center Building and Purchase of Equipment,” for which the Bytom Cultural Center has received funding from the European Union.

The main objective of the project is to transform the Bytom Cultural Center into a multifunctional center offering a diverse range of cultural, recreational, and educational activities for various groups of residents, with the aim of developing the social capital of the city of Bytom.
The scope of the project includes:
1. Modernization of the Bytom Cultural Center’s roof.
2. Creating multifunctional spaces and modernizing existing ones through:
a. expanding the second floor to include the Ilona multifunctional hall, with an area of 249 m² and seating for 190 people, along with backstage facilities,
b. modernizing the Pauza hall,
c. modernizing the ToTu auditorium,
d. modernizing the Ki-Nowa hall,
e. general improvement of the facility’s appeal.
3. Purchase of equipment.
4. Modernization of the Kronika Center for Contemporary Art.
5. Adaptation to the needs of people with special needs.
The project’s outcomes will be:
– expansion and improvement of the BCK’s cultural offerings – an increase in the number of organized cultural and cultural-educational events,
– an increase in the number of visitors/participants in the BCK’s proposed offerings,
– creation of a new workplace.
The project is scheduled for implementation in 2025–2026.
