This year, we invited two artists working in the field of socially engaged art—Pamela Bożek and Joanna Pawlik—to collaborate with us. Their joint work with young people will result in installations and artistic activities that will appear in Bytom’s urban space, serving as a visible statement on issues important to young people.

The project gives young people the opportunity to fully participate in the creative process—from initial discussions and exploring the city together, through developing their own ideas, to the implementation of artistic activities in Bytom’s public spaces. The workshops help foster creativity, a sense of agency, collaboration skills, and self-confidence. The sessions are conducted in an atmosphere of openness and mutual respect. An important element of the project is creating a space where young people can share their experiences and realize that their voices matter.

Three editions of the project have taken place so far, and in 2023, we presented a summary exhibition titled “Now I See That It Is an Illusion” at the Kronika Center for Contemporary Art.
