Summer holidays at the Kronika. Creative workshops for children and young people

Workshops led by artist Wojciech Sawa and educator Dominika Malska taking place at the Kronika CCA and in the city space. 

During the meetings, the group will create a joint installation using the medium of painting, which will eventually be displayed on the façade of one of the tenement houses on Józefczaka Street. The workshop is intended for 7-16 year-olds. The number of places is limited. Registration required: dominika.malska@kronika.org.pl, (32) 281 81 33.

Leaders' bios:


Wojciech Sawa began his creative activities as a film director. Currently, he is involved in visual art expressed through participatory multimedia installations realised in galleries, museums and public spaces. The installations may contain elements of conceptual art, photography, video, drawing, poetry, body art, artistic action, performance as well as other forms of expression.
The acronym A.R.T. (action, ritual, transformation) used by the artist reflects the aims of the projects.
Wojciech Sawa carries out actions in collaboration with institutions in the United States and Europe, including: Holocaust Museum, Salvador Dali Museum (St. Petersburg, Florida); Art Center Sarasota; Ombudsman (Poland); National Cultural Centre (Poland); TRANSFORM project (Warsaw); SiegesIkonen project (Berlin), Bradenton City Hall (Florida); Center for European Studies (University of Florida); Muslim-Jewish Council (Detroit); Northeastern University (Chicago).


Dominika Malska - art therapist, music therapist, educator at the Kronika CCA. Graduate of Slavic Philology at the University of Silesia, art therapy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, the Academy of Music in Katowice and the University of Silesia, and music therapy at the Academy of Music in Katowice. Author of educational projects at the CCA Kronika. Curator of the author's cyclical project Baza. Conducts art and art-therapy workshops with children, adolescents and adults. In her activities, she uses the therapeutic aspect of art, treating contemporary art as a pretext for meeting, dialogue and exchange of thoughts and feelings.
