The Kronika's programme is implemented through exhibitions, public space projects, trips, experimental musical cycles, art publications, workshops, discussions, lectures and popularization of art.
A place of the utmost importance for the recently reopened institution is the meeting room, a space combining the functions of a music stage, a chill-out room, a reading room and a screening room, with it?s interior designed by a different artist every year. The character of the meeting room reflects the tactics of the institution searching for a new, flexible approach, taking advantage of the multidisciplinary opportunities available.
Moreover, Kronika coordinates mobile grants for artists and curators, who spend a few weeks in Upper Silesia, developing projects dealing with the specific character as well as current social and cultural issues of the region.
Kronika does also regular educational activity, rental bikes and only one artistic bookstore in Upper Siliesia.
Kronika cooperates with artists, curators and art centres in Po-land as well as abroad, including
Kunstverein in Wolfsburg, Foksal Gallery Foundation in Warsaw, Press to Exit Project Space in Skopje, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the postgraduate Curator Centre at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, thealit Frauen.Kultur.Labor in Bremen, Ars Cameralis Silesiae Superioris, Krytyka Polityczna, Pro Helvetia, DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm.
